The Story of How We Got Game(s)
We’re brothers who grew up surrounded by family gatherings like holiday parties, reunions, and celebrations where games weren’t just an activity; they were the heartbeat of the night. Games broke the ice, sparked laughter, and turned moments into memories.
As we got older, we realized it wasn’t just the games that made those nights unforgettable—it was how we felt while together. The best gatherings weren’t about what we were playing; they were about the connections we built, the energy in the room, and the effortless fun that made everyone feel like they belonged. That idea stuck with us.
What if we could create a place where anyone could experience that same warmth and effortless connection? A place where every group felt like they were stepping into a game night at a friend’s house where everything was taken care of? They could just show up, relax, and have fun.
So, in 2017, we launched Game Night Out—not as a bar, a trivia night, a board game café, or a game show. This was something completely different: a fully hosted, interactive experience at the intersection of hospitality and entertainment. When you walk in, our hosts welcome you as if you’re stepping into a close friend’s living room. The space is yours. The night is planned. Your only job is to enjoy yourself.
The experience wasn’t just about the games; it was about how people connected through them. A great host could take a simple game and turn it into something bigger: a night full of surprises, spontaneous moments, and shared laughter.
We opened our first location in Chicago, and the response was incredible. Groups of all kinds—friends, families, and coworkers—found something they didn’t even know they were looking for: a reason to put their phones away, lean into the moment, and just enjoy being together.
Whether it’s a birthday, a team outing, or just a night out with your favorite people, our simple goal is to bring people together through laughter, connection, and a little friendly competition—all wrapped into a hospitality-driven experience that makes every guest feel like they belong.
We can’t wait to welcome you to your next Game Night Out.
