Have a few questions? Here are some that we get asked from time to time.

In-Person FAQ’s

  • We are located in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago, at 2828 N. Clark St, Chicago, IL 60657 inside The Century Shopping Centre, on the fourth floor.

  • Please view pricing here.

  • Yes, all reservations must be made in advance. Due to the nature of our live game night experience, we do not accept walk-ins.

  • No Shows & Late Arrivals: Refunds will not be issued for no-shows or late arrivals.

    Cancellations:

    If you need to cancel with more than 7-days from the reservation date/time still remaining you may do so, and all payments including the minimum guest amount will be refunded.

    If you need to cancel with less than 7-days from the reservation date/time still remaining:

    2-Hour Experiences: The amount paid excluding the minimum guest amount will be refunded.

    3-Hour Experiences: The total amount paid is non-refundable.

    Reschedule Requests:

    Reschedule requests with more than 7-days from the reservation date/time still remaining will be honored, subject to availability.

    Reschedules requested with fewer than 7-days from the reservation date/time still remaining will be treated as a cancellation of the existing reservation (as per the policy listed above), and a new reservation will need to be purchased.

    2-Hour Experience:
    Guest count on our 2-hour Experience can be adjusted at any time. We recommend booking for the minimum guest count to confirm your timeslot. Your final guest count will be settled up on-site, and any additional guests past what you've paid for will be charged to the original payment method.

    Please note, that we will not be able to admit any guests over the 20-guest maximum.

    If you end up with fewer guests than you reserved for initially, the difference will be refunded to the original payment method, no less than the 8 guests.

    3-Hour Experience:
    These experiences are flat-rate and allow you to bring any number of guests, up to the maximum in the tier you booked, all for one price.

    For example: you reserved the Up to 40 guest experience? You can bring any number of guests up to 40 people maximum and you'll be all set!

    Please note, that we will not be able to admit any guests over the maximum guest count of the tier you have reserved. 

    In our 3-hour experiences, if you end up with fewer guests than you reserved for initially, there will be no refunds or downgrades to a lower tier outside of the cancellation window of 7-days prior to your reservation, however if you anticipate a fluctuation in guest count prior to this deadline, reach out to us and we will be able to downgrade you. We can only upgrade you to a larger tier if we have availability to do so.

  • All guests who enter Game Night Out, regardless of the duration of their attendance or level of participation, will be counted toward your final guest count. No discounted or partial-attendance rates are available.

    A guest is defined as any individual in your room, above the age of 2 years old, including but not limited to non-participating individuals, regardless of the duration of their attendance. Please note that our experience is intended for individuals who are 18 years or older.

  • All guests who enter Game Night Out, regardless of the duration of their attendance or level of participation, will be counted toward your final guest count.

    That being said, we never want anyone to feel like they are being put on the spot, so your guests are welcome to participate at the level with which they are comfortable. At Game Night Out, we want everyone to have a great time, whether they're team captain or cheering on their team and jumping in to earn some points when they can!

  • We welcome family groups with teenagers, as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, please note that our experience is primarily intended for adults aged 18 and above. 



    We love our families too, but since our experience is geared toward adults we’d recommend keeping the kids at home if possible. If any younger guests do join, all guests of walking age (2+) that join our experience count toward your guest total. Infants are welcome, but please note that there will be music and sudden loud noises during the experience.

  • Our experience is primarily intended for adults aged 18 and above, but we do welcome family groups with teenagers as long as they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.



    Please note that we are unable to accommodate groups of minors.

  • 2-Hour Experience: There is a minimum ticket requirement of 8. If your group is smaller than 8 guests, you can still book the 2-Hour Experience, but you’ll need to reserve and pay for the minimum of 8 tickets, regardless of the number of attendees. No refunds will be issued for fewer guests than the minimum. For the best experience, we recommend at least 6 guests.

    3-Hour Experience: These experiences are priced using flat-rate tiers instead of per-person pricing. There is no specific minimum guest requirement, but you will be paying a flat rate for your selected tier, regardless of the final number of attendees. If your guest count changes, you will not receive a modified invoice, even if it falls into a different tier. Please book the appropriate tier based on your expected guest count. For the best experience, we recommend at least 12 guests in our Up to 20 Tier

  • No, all reservations are private so you will not be placed with anyone besides the guests you invite.

  • We offer 2-hour experiences and 3-hour experiences!

  • We drew inspiration from a long history of the classic parlor games you know and love, then designed a unique game experience that has something for everyone! You'll participate in a mixture of guessing, logic, skill, strategy, knowledge, and pop-culture-based group games.

  • Beverages:
    Reservations confirmed after February 12th, 2024 can order beverages from Game Night Out, but will no longer be able to BYOB.

    Food

    Yes, you can bring or have food of your choice delivered to Game Night Out.

    We have delicious catering options available for pre-order. Order in advance and have everything ready for you when you arrive! Browse the menu here.

    Because Game Night Out is an active experience, we recommend lighter snacks or finger foods. Utensils, plates, and napkins are complimentary.

    No food is sold on-site, only in advance via our catering partnership with Blue Plate.

  • Please aim to arrive about 10 minutes prior to your scheduled experience. We strive to begin each experience exactly at its' start time, so being late for your reservation may cause your group to have less time for gameplay.

  • There is a convenient paid parking garage connected to our building, as well as metered street parking right out front.

    Validated rates for paid parking garage are listed below (rates subject to change):

    1 hour or less: $5.00

    1-2 hours: $10.00

    2-4.5 hours: $12.00

  • Yes, the Game Night Out living room is wheelchair user-friendly!

    The parking garage connected to the Century Shopping Centre does have accessible parking on the lowest levels.

    Still, please note that access to the building is by exiting the parking garage to the sidewalk on Clark Street, then entering through the mall's front door, as there are stairs at the entrances on each of the other floors. Some guests choose to be dropped off at the front entrance, before parking.

  • We do not currently offer off-site in-person experiences.

    Our in-person experience is carefully integrated into our location - it’s where part of the magic of Game Night Out comes from! Additionally, at our place, we take care of everything for you. Simply come over with your group, have a great time, and leave the planning, and clean-up to us :)

  • The classic ‘Game Night Out Virtual’ experience for up to 12 guests is $299 (USD)

  • Absolutely! We recommend using a laptop and logging in with one device per location. Feel free to share one device with 2 or 3 guests in the same room (Because we count by people, not devices, each person will be counted toward the overall guest count). If you have more guests in your household, log in with another device from a separate room to avoid audio feedback and ensure everyone can see you!

  • The classic ‘Game Night Out Virtual’ experience can accommodate up to 12 guests total.

    Have a group with more than 12 guests? We have experiences for larger groups! Please contact us for more info.

  • Because we engage each individual participant on the call in gameplay, regardless of the number of devices or which household they are in, our guest count maximum is based on the number of people.

  • You can log in with any number of devices, however, for the best possible quality of experience, we recommend no more than 2 or 3 guests per device.

    We want to be able to see, hear, and interact with each participant, so the more guests-per-device the harder this becomes for everyone else in your experience.

    If you have more participants in your household, we recommend logging in from multiple devices located in separate rooms of the house (to avoid audio feedback issues).

  • All reservations are final. Refunds or reschedules will not be issued for no-shows or late arrivals.

  • No, when booking you will be presented with an option to include guest emails during checkout. If included, we will send guest invite emails on your behalf with everything your guests need to get connected.

    This is optional, however, and if you prefer to skip this step, or if you don’t currently know your guest emails, you can simply forward your booking confirmation to your guests at a later date.

  • Game Night Out Virtual is fine-tuned for adult groups or family groups (with predominately adult participants).

    We do not offer and are unable to accommodate a kids-only or young adult-only experience.

  • Absolutely! We like to have our fair share of fun - but nothing is ever risqué for the sake of being risqué. Our games are designed to appeal to a wide range of participants and personalities, and our Hosts are highly trained to read the needs of each group.

  • We use Zoom exclusively in order to ensure that each experience is of the highest quality. Though other platforms might have similar features we are unable to use them for your reservation at this time.

  • Not at this time. Guests who are coming to Game Night Out Virtual from a previous meeting will often painlessly hop off one call and right in to the next one!

  • Once our Host logs off the experience, the call will end. Guests who want to hang out after will often hop off our call and right into a private call of their own to hang out together longer!

  • We treat you like people, not devices! Guest counts are based on the number of people present, independent of the number of devices used. We don’t require a final headcount or an RSVP list, as long as your guest count does not exceed the maximum number of players for the tier you booked
